PROsport has completely restored the car on its own and relies on the renowned Opel specialist Risse Motorsport for the engines. The bodywork and paint work, however, were kept true to the original. This passion and dedication for the "Kult Kadett" is evident in every detail of the restored car and reflects the fascination for the legendary racing vehicle.

THE STORY
Cult around Kadett The "Kult Kadett" of the 1000 series is a legendary racing car that caused a sensation in the 70s. In particular, drivers Walter Röhrl and Manfred Trint competed in numerous races with the Group 2 rally car for Opel, even though they had to compete against strong rivals such as the Zakspeed Escorts or Alpina BMW 2002. Nevertheless, they stood up against them with their passion and skill and the Kult Kadett. Today, the vehicles are at home in the youngtimer sector and the 24 Classic - continuing to inspire fans in competition. The car shown here is a rebuild of the legendary Group 2 rally car of Chris Esser, the CEO of PROsport. Together with his brother Winfried as a teammate, he competed in numerous races in the 1970s, including the VLN races, the famous GP of touring cars and twice the ADAC 1000 KM race.

In ProSport's motorsport forge, the true-to-the-original restored and still fast Kadett C Coupé was very much alive and ready to tell this story. Motivated by the enormous amount of work the ProSport team had put into the car, our scanners and cameras traced his story eagerly.
